The Wayland-Weston girl’s crew team prepares for the Massachusetts State Rowing Championship during practice on Thursday, May 23. The team practiced on Lake Cochituate in Wayland.
The girls first varsity eight boat ended up winning the state race on Sunday, May 26 at the Merrimack River in Lowell. “Winning states was so much fun,” captain senior Lulu Kazlas said. “We all worked so hard this season for this moment. And it was especially special as most of the boat is seniors and it’s a great way to end the season.”
